Since 2013 we have run a very popular lunchtime Ballet Club at Croydon High School, from Reception upwards. 

 

Ballet is the basis of all dance styles. It helps improve a child's sense of poise and grace and allows the child to gain an appreciation of music and artistry. We follow the syllabus of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing which uses characterisation and themes to make ballet a disciplined but fun style to learn. Students are also presented with the possibility to perform in assemblies at the end of term.

11:50 - 12:20 - Year 2 Ballet 

12:20 - 12:50 - Reception and Year 1 Ballet

Thursday lunchtime- 

12:30-1 - Year 3 Ballet

UNIFORM

For these classes students will only need ballet shoes with elastics as due to the short class time we are unable to get all girls changed into a ballet uniform.
